Our Values

The R's of Plant-Allied Recovery

Respect

We have a deep respect for these medicines, honoring Mother Earth for providing them and the indigenous peoples who have stewarded these medicines for thousands of years. We respect the power of these medicines and choose to always work with this mindset.

Reverence

We incorporate ritual, intention, and a deep spiritual connection with our plant-allies. Whatever your spiritual beliefs, you can develop your own spiritual relationship with the plant and fungi spirits .

Right Relationship

We are mindful of being in Right Relationship with the medicines. We come to this medicine with humility and intention, never to escape or numb how we feel.

Reciprocity

We recognize the impact we have as humans on this earth, and do our best to give as much as we receive. We are mindful of our sourcing and impact.

Responsibility

We have a responsibility, not just as human beings, but as pioneers in recovery forging a new path—to walk this earth with integrity and purpose.

Reality

We prioritize integration, and recognize that we came to this earth to experience being human. We do not try to escape with the medicines. Instead, we stay deeply grounded in this reality.

NO. We welcome members with all levels of experience. We have resources to support both beginners and experts alike in their plant medicine path.

I am experienced with medicine, is this for me?

Our question for you is - do you want to participate in a supportive community for in your chosen path of recovery? Do you want to expand and grow in your plant medicine path? If you answer YES to either of those questions - our answer is YES!

Will I lose my recovery community?

Not necessarily. We have many active members in our community who are also very active in their respective 12-step programs. That being said, it is important to:

1. Be mindful of who you share the details of your recovery path with. There is still a lot of stigma out there.

2. Be respectful of the traditions of the 12-step room you participate in.

3. Evaluate your own specific situation with regards to whom and what you share with others.

A bit about my path...

After overcoming a heroin and meth addiction that lead me to homelessness, I found recovery in 12-step programs. Recovery gave me a beautiful foundation to turn my life around: I went back to school for Social Work, started working at a rehab, and had an amazing community. But despite outside appearances, I was still struggling internally.

Despite years of trauma therapy and almost 2 years of complete abstinence, I was still suffering from unresolved trauma and PTSD that was making me feel disconnected and lost. Plant medicines were the last place I wanted to go. I was terrified of losing my clean time and community, but the medicines were calling me, and so I began my journey.

My journey on the medicine path has been both tumultuous and beautiful: I healed my trauma, PTSD and the root causes of my addiction. I lost my recovery community. I worked at multiple plant medicine retreat centers - in both safe and unsafe containers. I've finally found my authentic self and become who I've always meant to be. I've had to learn many lessons on this path, and have studied all over the world to deepen my understanding of the plants.

My goal is to support people in recovery to walk this path without having to go through what I did.

My goal is to share the LIFE-SAVING harm-reduction information to the recovery community so that YOU can walk this path in the best way possible.
